Does my airsoft sniper need any maintenance?

I have ordered an AGM L96 AWP Black version at airsplat, and it has arrived in the mail today. I have the scope pretty shot in already and can hit a 2 foot object from about 250 to 300 feet away. I want to keep it that way. So I was wondering if I need to do anything to the gun that will keep it to fire like it does. I also am wondering if I should clean the metal barrel on the outside, and all the other outer metal parts I touch. I have a 22, 20 gauge, and a 243 deer rifle, so I know how to clean the outside. So is there anything else I need to do to keep my gun up to date? Thanks for all the help!
